Peter Voigt is a German photographer and visual artist. In long-term projects he approaches urban, industrial and natural landscapes with the detachment of a surveyor. Working mostly with technical field cameras, he makes images that are exact, restrained and conceived in series. His current project concerns glacial ice, photographed as landscape, magnified as surface and recorded in photograms.
He has also built the Strangelove Collection, several thousand vintage prints of the atomic and space age, which he sequences into new works and exhibitions. In Offenbach he runs Strangeplace, a space devoted to the crossings between applied photography and art.
