About

Peter Voigt is a German photographer and visual artist recognized for his documentations of complex industrial processes in sectors such as mining, mineral processing, metal refining, and energy. In parallel with his industrial work, Voigt undertakes long-term projects that delve into broader themes, exploring how societal forces reshape both natural landscapes and urban environments. His work has been exhibited in national and international venues.
Over the past decade, Voigt has also amassed an extensive collection of vintage photographs tracing the history of the atomic age, which he has fittingly called Strangelove Collection.
In 2022, he established Strangeplace an exhibition space dedicated to exploring the crossover of utility photography and art, offering a platform for works that challenge conventional boundaries.
